CBS-FM Top 10 10 10 Weekend

CBS-FM has done it again, another nice specialty weekend. In honor of 10/10/10, they are counting down 10 songs from any given year, beginning each hour. Appears to be random songs in a "top 10" countdown.

hearing amazing stuff, sent a chill down my spine hearing "Israelites" by Desmond Deker & the Aces, a big summertime WABC 'superhit' in 1969,right alongside "I'm Gonna Make You Mine" by Lou Christie....the 10 at 10 brought 1969 right back to me...and as a result I'm going to buy every product I hear about on CBS FM today!

It's really refreshing hearing this much 60's at once, with the countdowns they've been doing from those years. I was actually "glued" to the radio for the first time in a while, so to speak. I understand why they're not playing as much 60's now, but it's still nice to hear them break from that for this weekend.

WOCL 105.9 Sunny-FM in Orlando is doing the same exact thing - The Top 10 Weekend on 10/10/10.
Orlando just went PPM & their numbers are now spectacular like WCBS-FM here in NYC.
On a side note, I really like 105.9 Sunny-FM's Classic Dance Showcase. Not sure if WCBS has a Saturday night party show like this. They play Freestyle!

WCBS-FM has a Classic Dance Showcase hosted by Joe Causi on Sunday nights from 11 PM to Midnight. Not sure how it compares to WOCL's version.

105.9 Sunny FM (WOCL-FM) is from 7pm-12am, a whole 5 hours worth of Funk, Freestyle, Dance, & party songs.
