CBS for Utica

I noticed this board was getting a little stale so I thought I would start a new topic.
I was in Utica (actually New Hartford) last weekend and decided to do a little DXing with a digital tuner. A little of the nerd in me lives on. I was up on a hill with a pretty decent indoor antenna. All the Utica stations came in clear. Nothing from Syracuse. However WTVH- 5 analog came in fine. So the question is will Utica be like Elmira and one of the Utica stations add a CBS feed to one of their sub channels? Since WTVH has become pretty worthless in he last couple years, no one in the area would miss them. It would certainly be a nice little economic shot for either Smith or Nexstar.
I noticed WKTV has CW on their sub channel & WUTR does run MYTV on their sub channel but So far WFXV doesn't have anything. Good spot for CBS?

Actually WKTV could add CBS as a digital subchannel. As you mentioned WENY has CBS as a sub-channel, but they also have the CW on another sub-channel in addition to the CBS one. If I recall WENY simulcasts a couple of its newscasts on the CBS sub-channel too. With WTVH now nearly at the bottom of the crapper with the shuttering their in-house news dept and letting mediocre WSTM take over (the bottom is when the news dissappears completely, and that's probably going to be sooner rather than later...) it may not be a bad thing. Being under the WKTV umbrella could help somewhat too.

you could also apply the Utica-CBS predicatment to Watertown and NBC. The North Country will soon have limited off-air access to NBC.
