CBS has done it again

For what reason? Is smooth jazz that bad?

Tempie and the Sunday Jazz Brunch are history on LshITE 103.7... :(

CBS can't even afford parttimers now. KLUV and Lite 103.7 are becoming "Jacks".

It is disappearing because it does poorly in the People Meter. The results tend to be that people wrote down that they listened 8 hours a day and in reality it's more like 45 minutes.

I've been out of town, so I hadn't listened on Sunday morning until today and found out it was gone.

Maybe the format really has died out, as much as I hate to see it happen.

Bummer.

For people on the SE side of the metroplex, KOOI 106.5 has a Sunday morning smooth jazz show. Or they did 6 months ago.

Smooth jazz is good to prepare dinner to.
Which means the show would be perfect if people were preparing dinner at 9am on a Sunday morning.

And the question that needs to be asked is how was Sunday morning 6a-10a doing in PPM. If her show wasn't drawing listeners, why keep it around? If it WAS drawing listeners, continuing with the cruxifion of CBS executives. But me, I like to have evidence and facts and stuff before I jump to conclusions...

Which also means that Sunday Brunch is better when not at 6:00 a.m.

All this talk about time reminded me of the days when you could dial time check, and the operator was telling you the time every ten seconds. "At the tone the time will be eight o'clock - exactly...at the tone...eight o'clock - and ten seconds...."

Dude, you are making me feel really old with the dialing time reference... AAGGHH! :(
