CBS HD stations off the air for weeks in NYC

nd2023

Banned
92.3 Now and Fresh 102.7 haven't been in HD for at least 2 weeks. Also, Clear Channel's Q102 in Philadelphia has not been in HD for several days. So there, 3 major market stations owned by the biggest HD proponents have been off the air for days on end and the listeners don't notice or care.

Since an insignificant number of folks actually use the HD subchannels, it's no need to prioritize the time to fix them.

But see the thread on Clear Channel leasing their HD channels below.

They're leasing the HD channel(s) because they can't figure out how to make money from them any other way.

You noticed, so it's not 'nobody'. I get at least one e-mail every time an HD station in Birmingham goes off, so I can keep my website updated. People are listening, it's just not many.

I (or most of us on this site) don't count as an average listener. I only noticed because it's e-skip season and the lack of IBUZ gives me a few extra channels to hear e-skip on. I hope it's off till at least July.
