cbs layoffs

Yeah, I'm not sure what tcsnrayp (who is "actualy employed in a radio station") was getting at.

If you notice, the weekend must have been slow because "ray" had a flurry of posting activity on a group of dying if not dead threads.

Oh well, whatever floats his boat I guess...just thought he might have something more substantive to add than "what do YOU think???"

You don't think that he might have a relative living in Medina, do you ::)

Sorry if I messed up boys. I don't know all the rules yet. I am new to the board and was catching up on all the fun posts. In this case I wanted to find out if anything had happened regarding the CBS layoffs since there was no further information.

The answer is no. No Cleveland on-air losses, though the rumor was that a couple of C-town CBS account execs (sales) were shown the door.

Carry on...

Thanks for being kind enough to reply Johnny. From reading through 8 pages of old posts here--I had already determined that you and DonOnTheRadio are true pros. I was also excited to find that you are even older than me. I am used to being the oldest in the room.

In the future, if I come across another dead subject that I am interested in I will just start a new topic.

From some of the comments I have seen here, I probably should not admit that I am a long time friend and fan of Kevin "Pig Vomit" Metheny or that I have long respected John Gorman. ;/

1. I'm not that old.

2. Being a Gorman fan is nothing to be ashamed of. I'll leave your Metheny situation to your own choosing... :)

3. I appreciate being called a pro, but there are a number of very accomplished folks posting here.

4. Welcome aboard.

I am an admitted non professional, but I am old enough to remember the "ya doesn't has to call me Johnson" commercial. And I don't have any opinion on Gorman or Metheny. I just think that they make for some good forum reading.
