CBS NEWS- The Early Show

How has the new on-air staff been doing?
Are they catching on?
Ratings increasing?
Does CBS wish they had kept the others?

CBS Sunday Morning is the only successful morning news program CBS airs.
Captain Kangaroo is giving CBS a wink and a smile from his resting place 6 feet under.

I don't know about the ratings but CBS hasn't had an
enjoyable morning combo since Hughes Rudd was anchoring
the "CBS Morning News" (his grumpiness was perfect for the
way many of us feel in the morning), followed by "Captain
Kangaroo". Yeah, I suspect Bob Keeshan (wherever he is)
is enjoying a good laugh.

I have to agree. Honestly, I wonder who can sit through all that inane fluff on the Today Show, which is sad for those of us who grew up watching it. The Early Show has always devoted more time to hard news, although I miss Harry and Dave Price, even Hannah Storm. I'm watching more of GMA lately.
