CBS Radio and Chicago bears have a multi year deal

http://news.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/headline_id=n34691

CBS Radio and the Chicago Bears ink a multi-year extension to keep the NFL team's radio broadcast rights on WBBM (NewsRadio 780 & 105.9 FM). WBBM has been the Radio home of the Bears since 2000. Pre-season, regular-season and extensive pre- and postgame shows will continue to be featured on the stations. In addition to game broadcasts, WBBM will air the Bears Coaches Show every Monday during the season at 6:30pm hosted by the voice of the Bears on WBBM. Jeff Joniak.

"All of us at CBS Radio Chicago are thrilled to continue our 17-year partnership with the NFL's most preeminent franchise," said Senior VP/Market Manager Tim Pohlman. "We thank the McCaskey family, Ted Phillips and everyone at the Chicago Bears for their commitment to keeping WBBM NewsRadio 780 & 105.9FM as part of this first-class organization for years to come."

"We are excited to extend our partnership with such a long-established and renowned organization as WBBM," said Bears President Ted Phillips. "It's an honor to be a part of their broadcast family and we look forward to further growing our relationship."

Interesting how this will play out once Entercom takes full control of WBBM Radio.

I'm sure they took the ownership change into account.

Makes you wonder how much WBBM are wondering what they are getting themselves into by resigning a franchise that do much good a lot in the years they have been on their station.
