my sources tell me that cbs radio is going to move into the tricities market and is already in discussion with one of the larger station groups in the area. the one in kingsport maybe. is this connected to the sudden christmas music all the time there? could be trouble for citadel and niniger so don't tell me i don't contribute crossdresser.

I'd say your sources are flat-wrong. CBS Radio does not operate radio stations in markets as small as Tri-Cities. In fact, CBS just finished divesting all their properties in the smaller markets they operated in. Even the smallest of the markets divested by CBS was a whole lot bigger than Tri-Cities.

Mr Boyd (owner of HVBC) is not going to sell WTFM or any of the other properties in that cluster. I would dare say if I won the lottery tomorrow and offered him 20-million for WTFM, WKPT Radio Network, the LMA on WRZK and WMEV in Marion, he would probably turn me down. They are not going to sell.

Congrats, geek...there's a first time for everything.

Now to CBS, I don't doubt your sources. It 's just that they got rid of a lot of their major market stations. Do you think they would want to be involved with smaller markets now?
