I live in Dallas but spend alot of time in Houston. I am wondering where I can find a station that carries CBS radio news? I think the old 650 AM used to but since they moved to sports they dropped CBS news?

CBS Radio News has no affiliate in Houston, or anywhere in the 12 county SMSA of southeast Texas. I'm at a loss to understand why this is, given Houston's size and status as a major market. The closest one to Houston is in Lufkin, 120 miles to the northeast.

I was hoping KROI was going to affiliate with CBS radio but was saddened to hear ABC when it launched. ABC is alright but CBS news is more calmer, less frenzied than ABC's fast pace updates.
KIKK losing CBS wasn't much of a loss anyway. They only played the first 3 minutes of headlines followed by 2 minutes of commercials non-stop instead of the extended reports.
