CBS Radio Revenue

Courtesy of Radio and Records:

CBS reported second quarter revenues of $3.4 billion Tuesday (July 31), a 3% drop from the $3.5 billion earned during the same period last year. The CBS radio division slipped 11%, finishing the quarter with $463.4 million in revenues.

According to CBS president and CEO Leslie Moonves, "The reason for the huge drop is our AAA outlet in Atlanta. I don't know what the (expletive deleted) is going on down there but a (expletive deleted) qualified PD with (expletive deleted) excellent musical taste is sorely (expletive deleted) needed."

All the more reason for them to dump Dave and give us the Greatest Hits of the 60's, 70's & 80's like WCBS-FM 101.1 in NY. ;D

The REAL reason for the revenue slip....

- They have completed the sale of several stations that used to add to their revenue stream
- No Don Imus to bring in the WFAN revenue. That hurts no matter how they try to hide it!

So, how does this affect Q100? ;D

Yes because whatever works in New York works anywhere else. Let's drop all country while we're at it because country doesn't work in New York.

We tried oldies here and it wasn't working out in the end. Enjoy The River, folks!
