CBS Radio Shake-Up

Mark Steinmetz To Exit CBS Radio/Phoenix

Steinmetz, a 29-year radio veteran who joined the company as SVP/Market Manager for Country KMLE, Oldies KOOL and what is now FM Talk KZON (101.5 Free FM) in December 2003, announced this morning that he's decided to exit the trio. A CBS Radio/Phoenix representative tells R&R a regional executive will be stepping in to oversee KMLE, KOOL & KZON on an interim basis shortly.

Before joining CBS Radio, Steinmetz served as VP/Operations and Radio Station Development for America Media Services. He's perhaps best known for his 17-year tenure with ABC Radio, where he served as Group President and, before that, as Market Manager for ABC's Minneapolis stations.

Anyone want to make any predictions??

Predictions on what? Why he left? Who is going to replace him? If anything will change to the average radio listener of these stations?

Precisely. Who will take over? What changes might we see? Just for grins...it's always fun to speculate.
