As if that's necessarily a bad thing.

Of course, Feder would've shut up by now if 'JMK had switched back to oldies and put Biondi back. That's the only thing that's driving this. How can he attack Rover for not being a Chicagoan when Brandmeier, Dahl, Collins, Mancow and Matthews all came from other cities to Chicago?

They should of taken Dick Biondi out of that Jack FM and put him
on True Oldies Channel 94.7 instead of listening to Scott Shannon
All day and throughout the whole evening!
It gets kind of boring after awhile when you listen to Scott Shannon
all day Long....

Last I remember, Biondi is still under contract with CBS, and CBS isn't going to let him jump over to any other radio station in Chicago while under contract with them. Who knows if Citadel will keep the oldies format on 94.7, or change formats. If oldies were to continue 10 years from now, I would fit the oldies demo as it would be 70's & 80's by that time. But with most of the current demo being over the age of 50, oldies stations will struggle as advertisers don't really want to advertise on oldies stations anymore. As for Dick Biondi, I would be surprised if he could get another job at another station in Chicago, except for maybe an all news or talk station. I say that because he doesn't fit in with the demos on most other music formats & oldies is being phased out in most markets. So at his age, in Chicago, he would be lucky if he could work at WBBM or WLS. I don't see it impossible, but difficult though.

Good point. Did he ever bitch about Howard Stern being from New York?

No, but Howard was BROADCASTING from NYC. He wasn't broadcasting from Chicago. Plus I don't think his numbers were ever amazing in Chicago.
