CBS Radio to sell Hartford cluster?

I recently read in an article that CBS Radio is interested in selling it's smaller market clusters, and becoming and major market radio company. I actually believe I saw this article on the homepage of this website. Could we see CBS Radio sell it's Hartford cluster in the near future?

CBS has been talking about selling clusters like Hartford for it seems like at least two years. Every time Les Moonves talks radio, he talks selling. The question, however, is who has the money to buy 3 FM's and an AM in Hartford?

I have a feeling something is up. For the last few weeks, the Internet stream of WTIC-AM has been carrying the complete over-the-air signal - commercials included (though I'm not sure what they run during Red Sox games). I haven't heard that "WTIC-FM-HD2" top-of-the-hour legal ID on this station's stream in awhile, either. One would think that if they neglected to take care of this little item of housekeeping, perhaps some sort of transaction is imminent... or maybe I just tend to read too much into things...::) With that said, it is cool to hear that famous tone at the TOH on the stream...

Cumulus? Cox? Some other chain with no previous Connecticut presence?

DToTheJ - yeah i think you are reading too much into it :) I deal with the streaming of other CBS properties and it sounds like someone isn't paying attention is all.
CBS has had the Hartford cluster on the block for some time as part of their plan to shed any properties that aren't in the top 20 markets. But it's not a fire sale, they're in no hurry to sell until someone comes up with the price they want and with the economy and markets the way they are, they'll sit on 'em as long as it takes to get their price.

Well, with the stations faring and billing well, you're right, there is certainly no rush. ;) Thanks for the info.
