(CBS) MIAMI Sources have confirmed to WFOR-TV in Miami that conservative talk show host has been detained at Palm Beach International Airport for the possible possession of illegal prescription drugs.

Update from CBS4 in Miami. Rush was returning to the US in a private plane. Customs found Viagra in his luggage. The prescription was not in his name.

Rush reportedly ended a relationship with CNN's Daryn Kagan last February. So why does he need Viagra for a trip to the Dominican Republic?

In other news, Forbes Magazine ranked Rush at Number 32 on its Celebrity 100 List. He is the only radio personality to make the list - others who work in radio in addition to other media, such as Bill O'Reilly (#76), also appeared on the list but Rush is the only personality primarilly in radio.

Top Attributes
Aggressive, Influential
Pay $30 million
Power Rank 32
Despite settling allegations of prescription drug fraud in April 2005, the conservative talkmeister remains one of talk radio's biggest draws. His syndicated show, heard by as many as 20 million listeners per week, can be heard daily on 600 radio stations nationally.

I've heard from somewhere (and I hate rumors, so take it only as such!) that viagra is the only thing the media is reporting on, but that there were other meds found too, nonthing was specified. Can anyone verify this?

Now O'Reilly is going on a team complaining the authorities are persecuting Rush. Right!
A US Customs Service in a Republican administration.
An Attorney General's office in a Republican state administration.
Hasn't Rush done enough to promote the Bush familiy's interests?
Rush started out a true conservative (paleo-conservative may be more accurate) - more of a Buchanan conservative than a flack for the RNC. Then Daddy invited him to spend the night in the Lincoln bedroom and all of a sudden he becomes a party-administration-Bush flack (to the consternation of many early listeners who were not and are not comfortable with the "moderate" elite neocon party leadership).

Glad to see you liberals are still into name calling. PALEO-conservative? New one on me. Of course you use the NEOCON name as well. I am surprised you didnt use Halliburton in this post as well!

It is amazing how soon we forget things like Waco and that little boy Gonzalez.....

This whole issue is so blown out of proportion. Amazing how the liberals clamer for it died down when they found out it was Viagra. Too bad huh?
