CBS scraps MOViN' in Portland

Is SF next?

Portlands Jammin' Station flips to sports. CBS takes the Jammin' moniker and nixes MOViN' for that name.
MOViN' 107.5 is now Jammin 107.5

First FREE FM, now are the MOViN' days numbered?

Its time to put KFRC back on 99.7 and go sports or whatever on 106.9 the signal is too limited in the southbay! 99.7 has a killer signal. Hey Old Boss Jock 1947 is this in the cards like you were saying?

The 106.9 signal is completely worthless on the 680 corridor from Pleasanton north all the way to the 242 merge to route 4 east (which I've termed "FM HELL"). I would welcome back KFRC with their (Classic Hits) format with Camey and Dean in morning drive, replacing this god aweful jukebox version. How much more oxygen can CBS suck out of a radio station before it's medically dead? I could see 106.9 running sports/talk in mono eliminating some of the hideous multipath issues. As for movin', aren't there already more than enough urban formats serving the market?

"MOViN' should become Top 40 as Q 97.9 or something. MOViN's ratings such, just switch to Top 40 Already, they're almost there!"

It's 99.7. But I thought "Q" was reserved for KDFC because it rhymes with "102" - once Entercom sees the error of its ways and drops the high rated classical format to become a 1.0 rated Top 40?

How about "A Little Bit O Heaven 99.7." ?

Apologies to the late great KMET.

Well, as for me, I listen to Movin' more than I do KYLD or KMEL. But I'm in my mid 30's...I would prefer an 80's hits station myself....Not the ones that will lean heavy towards any specific genure (like Star 101.3 tried a few years back)...I'm talking true top 40...

I don't see why one of these stations, specificly KISQ or KBLX can't be switched to a generation x type 80's hits station....They both have very similar formats...and with KMEL / KYLD and Movin' 99.7 cutting into their ratings pie it just seems there is a flood of urban oriented R&B stations and at least one of them can afford to be dropped..

yeah and i also wouldint mind movin add some 80's and 90's rock and pop songs to keep the station with tons of variety, right now it sounds too curent

According to All Access and R&R, Katie Mason is leaving Movin' . Could this be the beginning of Movin' leaving too?

She's a Bay Area journey woman that seems to split just before the station takes a dump...So I would think you have something there with MOVin'.

Movin 99.7 is my favorite station! I have been listening since Movin took over Oldies KFRC in September 2006! I'm 14 and like how how it plays old and new!

I listen to Movin 1075 online a few times and it a good radio station.
