VP/Market Mgr. BRIAN PURDY said, "MOViN is that rare format that combines upbeat Top 40 music from the past two decades along with a considerable amount of current popular releases. These are the songs that you fondly remember moving to not so long ago, as well as those titles destined to be classic hits. This unique opportunity is one we believe will set us apart in the market as it has done in several other cities across the country."

As if Brian Purdy's cluster hasn't already set itself apart from the market--and plenty! CBS-Dallas has dwelled in a universe comfortably "apart" from innovation, wit, and relevance for quite some time. Purdy's "MOViN'" station won't have Rick Dees... or a respectable signal (just the ingenuity and experience of the finest gaggle of yes-men this side of the Mississippi). So good luck with THAT!

Oh. And don't forget that it'll have a new owner sometime in the next 36 months! CBS Radio is on the road to liquidation, baby! Sumner knows it's a loser, and he's eyeing the exits.

But I hope the managers at CBS-Dallas aren't too worried. If they can just remember to say the word "passion" at least 15 times in their next job interviews, they'll have new gigs in no time!

The MOViN format already SUCKS !!

I had to listen to it when I turned on the radio this morning and jumped in the shower. Didn't realize that the format had changed until it was too late...........

I am terribly upset about this and hope all the on-air talent finds new employment very soon. All the on-air staff was so upbeat, friendly and were so nice when you gave them a phone call.

CBS radio made a HUGE mistake and I hope the people that made this decision lose their jobs eventually; but they probably won't. Probably a HUGE a**-kisser or something like that. ;D
