CBS Sports radio has fully launched

There have been sports radio updates since Sept. I think; now CBS Sports radio has fully
launched, after midnight I think. I saw some tweets plus tuned in and heard the tail end of
a CBSSR update, then "looking for a place to talk sports? You've got the all new CBS Sports
Radio Network"...then a promo that mentioned the 98.5 lineup including A. Jones, and then
I heard D.A.'s voice. Didn't know if they were to launch the network later today (full) but it's
on now.

tweets
@RGonsports CBS Sports Radio just came on 98.5
@scottisaacs DA starts tonight in a couple of hours
@bostonradio CBSSR launched nationally at Midnight. So 2 hours of Ferall and then DA. Ok, that makes sense now /Ferrell's voice is effin' shot/ Scott Ferrall 11p-2a. When 98.5 goes local 7 to Midnight in April, he'll be on 12a-2a

@DAonCBS 90 min until we reconnect the Mothership. Ferrell bringing it right now. Boston, KC, MIA long times - hope you're up. http://cbssports.radio.com
@radioinsight 12am Central CBS Sports flips on Cumulus' "Funny 102.5" Kansas City, "100.1 The Buzz" KBBM Columbia, MO, and "Rock 100.7" KLSZ Fort Smith

(I was having troubles earlier finding a schedule page, for entire wk, on 98.5 like what WRKO
and WEEI have. Example: http://www.wrko.com/complete-schedule )

http://cbssports.radio.com/affiliates.html 232 stations
The main page of that site lists major stations etc

New England
VT- WSYB Rutland
NH- nothing? (btw I see one affiliate licensed in MX- for San Diego market)
MA- WBZ-FM Boston, WHLL Springfield
ME- WAEI Bangor, WFAU Augusta, WJJB Portland, WIGY-FM Waterville, WSYY-FM Millinocket,
WRKD Rockland, WRED Portland

CT- WINE Brookfield
RI-nothing

From what I understand, the network launched at midnight ET with Scott Ferrall, in the middle of what would otherwise be his 10 PM-2 AM program, "Ferrall On The Bench."

CT - WINE Brookfield

1. That's the de facto "New York City" CBSSR affiliate. Just like when Air America appointed a station in the Poconos as its "Philadelphia" affiliate - remember?

2. That is a shock. You would think Cumulus' WPRV would go back to its roots as the former "Score".

The New York board is also reporting it on 101.9 HD2 in NYC. Brookfield and an HD2, yeah that's real value for the advertisers in Manhattan. ::) So much for the early assumptions that WFAN would go FM-only and 660 would be 100 percent CBSSN birdfeed.

WINE's sister station is WPUT 1510 Brewster NY I believe, only 4 w at night.
The affiliate list has WFAN-FM 101.9 but maybe they're only picking up some shows;
not sure if any air on 660 (last night here btw 660 was booming in like a local at 9:30 pm)

WFAN is picking up some features and such...maybe clearing some inventory as well.
The full network lineup is running on WCBS-FM HD3.
WFAN and WFAN-FM are not running HD at this time.

these stations (except for WSYY, which is an error, their AM which has the same calls is picking up CBSSN) are only listed because they carry Jim Rome (their FSR affiliates)

with that said, I wonder how many are only clearing Rome...

Scott Ferrall, oh my, what a voice
:-\

I remember when WFAN tried him late nights. What a stink the listeners raised -- that voice, that phony shtick, and he wasn't local. How ironic that he winds up on WFAN (well, some form of WFAN or CBS Radio, anyway) again.
