CBS Sports Radio's Morning Show

This source which has been reliable gives the probable hosts:

SbB has learned Dana Jacobson, Tiki Barber & Brandon Tierney will host a new morning show on CBS Sports Radio.

I'm shocked another regular on this board thought that WFAN's Boomer and Carlton would go national.

Even moreso that someone's still giving Tiki a chance after his post-football career has been a complete disaster.

Good Lord...that is a horrific morning show. CBS should really give "Kiley & Booms" (currently on the Cleveland CBS affiliate and former national hosts on FSR) the slot...they do a great show and had a solid following on FSR.

I believe I'm the aforementioned regular that the OP speaks of... and while Brooks is a reputable source, word on the street is that a morning show with Tierney on CBSSR would not happen since his current employer in San Francisco refused to let him out of his contract.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but isn't the Steve Czaban show still going to be the best national morning show?

I think the Musers on KTCK in Dallas is the best show on the radio period. Not sure that it would translate to a national audience, but I sure don't understand why Cumulus hasn't syndicated in Texas.

I don't think Cumulus wants Dunham and Miller to go national. It will hurt KTCK in the long run. They would have to be more national. They would lose what makes them great in the first place....local sports talk.

There is not one guy on the Ticket in Dallas that could handle a national show and get away from talking Cowboys for 10 minutes. Are you serious? Those guys are big fish in their Texas pond. They would be laughed off of a network in one week.

lgr,

You must be confusing The Ticket with some other station, or you are a troll. I listen to a LOT of sports talk radio. The Ticket guys are superior to what the national networks are putting out. The beauty of The Ticket is you don't have to be a sports fan to enjoy it(not counting Norm's show).

Interesting declaration, considering that it hasn't debuted yet.

That is true. They have the talent to do a national show, but in reality it would destroy what makes them great here in D/FW. But with technology today, they pretty much are a "national" station anyway.

In what reality was Steve "Obama is a communist" Czaban ever the best national morning show?

The reality that has "Mike and Mike" and "Fox Sports Daybreak". You know, the real one.

Czaban's show is interesting, non generic sports and guy talk.

I like Czabe a lot but he's got to lay off the politics. He's the best out there by default. Also, he's already put RGIII in the hall of fame. Leave that $hit for your local show.

As Rush Limbaugh once said, "You lost, so just shut up and go away".

So who do you guys think will get the 6p-10p gig?

I think it's going to be Tom Tolbert going national with his show in the Bay Area. He worst 3p-7p Pacific time which translate to 6p-10p Eastern time.

The 6-10 PM ET timeslot may be reserved for local programming. I know the Seattle CBSSR affiliate is planning a local afternoon drive show in that slot (3-7 PM PT).

You mean the reality where Czaban month-in, month-out finished in third place behind Mike and Mike and FSR in the national Arbitrons??!!??

Scoreboard, pal. Scoreboard.

CC4Life....Clear Channel for life? Seriously? I take it you must be terminally ill...no one else could be so confident regarding longevity. :-\

Longtime play-by-play man Chris Moore along with CBS college football analyst/former NFL player Brian Jones get the 6-10pm position.

Scott Ferrall's "Ferrall On The Bench" will be the first show heard on the network on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from Midnight-2am.
Likely there'll be an introductory announcement possibly followed by a sports update followed by the dulcet tones ;) ??? ::) of Ferrall.
