CBS is selling the following stations to Cerberus Capital Management:

KEYE-Austin
KUTV-Salt Lake City. This use to be owned by NBC back in the late 80s and early 90s, until the '95 deal involving KYW and WCAU, also causing KCNC in Denver to go CBS.
WLWC-CW affliate in Providence
WTVX-West Palm Beach CW
WTCN-CA-MyNetworkTV station in West Palm Beach
WWHB-TV Azteca

Funny they would sell WTVX since they run it out of their CBS network station WFOR Miami. WTVX is actually licensed to Fort Pierce North of WPB. The station has always had a tough life!

Why's everyone selling their stations to private equity firms no one's heard of?

WLWC's master control operations are at WBZ in Boston. It appears that WLWC management works out of One State Street in Providence.

Because private equity is hot right now.

I wonder about WUPA (CW) Atlanta. I assume the rumors will start up again about whether WUPA will be sold or CBS will buy WGCL. WGCL's addition of the devil (Pat Robertson) might have made that deal nonexistant.
