CBS To Start FM News/Talk Station In D.C.?

DCRTV - a website whose speculations are rarely inaccurate - is now hinting that CBS Radio might launch an all-news station to compete with WTOP and perhaps eat into their huge billing numbers. Possibly on 94.7. Or maybe on 107.9 if they can pry it out of Harold Camping's cold, near-dead hands.

This is exactly what Merlin Media is doing in New York and Chicago. Of course, Merlin is a mere neophyte to the format, compared to CBS.

Hmmm...
