This huge unloading of talent by CBS radio kinda reminds me of when I was working for KMXP 96.9FM doing over nights when Clear Channel wanted to go completely automated with their Prophet system 1.0. Clear Channel/Jacor fired all the air staff including the morning show, afternoon drive show, and weekenders, part timers and some sales staff. What happened the ratings sunk, and they started hiring new talent, and did not bother to contact us part timers and overnighters. This is what is going to happen to CBS.
I also remember my time as an intern at KVRY when Nationwide Communications changed formats back to KZZP, they even let me go then too with the afternoon drive host, morning show and air staff.
