CBSC Censures Quebec Jock Over Gay Skater Comments

In the wake of Canadian cable sports network commentators talking about figure skater Johnny Weir, suggesting he undergo "gender testing" after his appearance in the Vancouver Olympics, CHOI-FM personality Stephane Dupont stood by the RDS duo of Claude Mailhot and Alain Goldberg on the air, insisting that Weird was "a queer in a sport for queers".

The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council has deemed Dupont's comments "scornful, derisive and denigrating".
