CC adds multicasts to it's LA stations Monday

Take what you will from these

KHHT-2: Jamming Oldies
KBIG-2: Disco
KYSR-2: 80s
KOST-2: Soft AC/Standards
KIIS-2: En Esponal KIIS.

IMO, it's a waste really. KBIG-1 features too much disco as it is. And is Star really going to air a true variety of 80s stuff ie Starship, Kenny Rogers, Whispers or will it be the same new wave stuff they already have? Jamming oldies? I thought that is what Hot 92 Jamz is in essance, at least that's what CC wants our impressions to have and not a impression it's a Urban AC. En Esponal KIIS? Superestrella already serves the spanish pop side and we have Latino for the Reggaeton stuff, all available on Analog and without having to shell out 500 bucks.

Can't wait to see what bonehead stuff Infinity, Emmis, and Radio One slap on HD-2. Geez.
______________

Emmis is supposed to havr "Power Dos" (bilingual) and KZLA-2 will be Adult Alternative (!) debuting next month.

Re: KLOS

KLOS is going to do ""the first fusion Hispanic-Anglo rock format in the world".

It would seem that they have to brand these other channels as
something similar to the original stations that they're spun-off from.
So what would you do?

My guess, is that it will be a cross between the 80s titles in the KBIG, KHHT and KYSR libraries. Which will probably please no one.

CC-owned KIOI in San Francisco is allegedly going to do "80s Pop Hits". Who knows, it might be the same format, or even the same audio feed ...
______________

Geez I thought the whole idea was to be innovative with formats that create buzz. Mega Jammin Oldies Part 2? Disco On KBIG? Like they dont play enough already.. What about Dance? Geez

KIIS for Hispanics? I can see all those young hispanics rushing out to buy HD receivers to hear KIIS in Espanol already. Such early adaptors!

Be patient young grasshopper!

Radios are already down to $299 for a multicast receiver.
