CC Changes in B'ham might make for interesting Country radio competition

With Crawford threatening to flip to country on one of its stations (they DID make the change didn't they?), and with this http://www.radioandrecords.com/Newsroom/2006_05_16/hanrahanupped.asp change over on Clear Channel's Birmingham stations... ZZK may actually get some compelling reasons to do something there to keep their audience. I'd say the country audience might just be in for some good competition that will benefit their ears (and maybe even their pocketbooks!)

Wait, you're telling me all those upside down billboards didn't help WZZK keep their audience? ;DBut seriously folks, WPHC did flip to country. I'm still not sure what Positive Hit Country is, exactly... I've never known a country hit that wasn't positive, at least not in the last 10 years or so... Hasn't all the "my wife left me, the dog died and pickup's broke down on the highway" been filtered out of the country radio scene these days? :D
