CC Cuts in Jacksonville

I see their wiped out the morning show on WFXJ-AM 930 (Lamm and the other guy, who was the PD also)
and hear through the grapevine that a Sales Mgr and 3-4 promotions people were also cut.

I figure David Lamm was safe - as his endorsements alone probably generate his salary and then some.

Maybe that's not the case anymore?

What else is has anyone heard?

Jacksonville and Miami Sports radio will be getting the worst sports talk host in the History Of The world in the name of Dan Sileo!

Sorry Guys you will now hear what orlando and tampa has to wake up to.

Very sad!!!! David Lamm has been on the air at 930 The Fox for many years and he will be missed on Jacksonville's airwaves. This is just another sign of the demise of local radio in this country as many local on-air personalities and talk show hosts are being replaced by syndicated programming.

Wow....that is a shocker. I worked with David from 1993-2000 and always enjoyed our comraderie. It's just another example of the demise of terrestrial radio. My best wishes to the "big guy".

Glad I turned in my papers 13 months ago to enjoy stable (and less stressful) employment.

I'm an SFR fan and listen to them, not Lamm. But I respect Lamm and his history and commitment to sports coverage in this market. Sileo on mornings??? That'll send 'em to XL!
