Wow what is going to happen tomorrow at Clear Channel?? Who will survive and who should survive
 
I guess we'll find out tomorrow. and why do they call it "Layoffs".? thats bull...they are going to fire a thousand people! Layoffs? sure...try to get your job back when things get better..FAT CHANCE.
 
NY Post is reporting over 1,500 people will be "laid off" and that CC is going for a more uniform nationwide programming sounds like they will be really serving the community then isn't that what radio is supposed to do! I though changes were supposed to come on 1.20.09 but not in this way!
Its a shame CC will keep the bad people and a bunch of great people will be without work
 
Apparently, starting at 9 this morning, the sales manager has individual meetings with every AE in 15-minute increments.
 
Scott Fybush (NERW) says CC/Harrisburg whacked 14 employees, with less-tenured salespeople leading the way ("New business? We don't need no stinking new business!")--but also a few longtime non-sales types.
