CC divests 3 Antelope Valley stations

Clear Channel has sold KTPI (Magic 1340), KTPI-FM (97.7), and KAVL (Fox Sports 610) to RZ Radio, which I don't think is Red Zebra. They're hanging onto KVVS and KSRY, which simulcast KIIS-FM and KYSR. No word on any formats being moved before the exchange.

We all should have saw that coming when Clear Channel switched KTPI from the 103.1 to 97.7. Clear Channel would keep there stronger signals while selling off the weaker signals. Look at the 100.3 and 92.3 frequency swap for the back then stations The Beat and Mega.

If it is bought by Red Zebra, owned by the Redskins owner, the AV will be doomed, I don't like the Redskins and I don't think for a market this small it would succeed, I hope they don't change KTPI FM to another format, as this is the main country station in town, a lot of people will be upset if that happens.

The good news is that it is not Red Zebra. The bad news is that it is Saul Rosenzweig, a minority owner of Gold Coast's KDAY/KDEI and KWIE. $800,000 listed as the purchase price in the contract posted on the FCC Audio division site.

From my understanding they still havent paid off Magic for KDAY. The price was 35 million I think but 5 million a year. But for that price 800,000 for 3 stations not bad. Those signals have no value.
