CC Drops Urban for Comedy

That is really lame, especially in Lexington, KY where there aren't many urban choices. I think the Baton Rouge station wasn't a major player and not sure about the Macon one though I know the WIBB calls are legendary.

Tons of Urban in Baton Rouge. I agree there. They are changing many of their music formatted AM's... Not just Urban's. CC is trying to push the comedy on AM. To be honest, I'm glad they are trying something new for this dying band.

Most of the music formatted AM's are not doing well for CC and it's an additional opportunity for them to steer people to iheartradio. Makes perfect business sense.

Well Lexington still has three urbans left: WBTF, WLTO and WLKT-HD2 (W280DO). That's if you count in the rhythmics being the latter two. If only they can lean WBTF's urban format to adult audiences since they have Steve Harvey anyway.
