CC Houston news

and I thought FoFoFo would catch this...

from FMQB
Clear Channel/Houston Director of Rock Programming Vince Richards is upped to Director/FM Programming and will now oversee Modern Rock KTBZ/Houston, Classic Rock KKRW, Hot AC KHMX, AC KODA, and Spanish KLOL in addition to his PD duties at KTBZ, KKRW and KHMX.

¿cuál es la frecuencia Vince?

CC Houston has alot of changes. I can see many more news releases soon! Some of you will be dancing your way down the dial in HD!!!!!

Many will walk into the Houston radio history! Get ready!

This may be the biggest story developing in Houston in a long time!

Maybe part of the deal was he couldn't post anymore.

KC is on his way out all together. I don't think there are a lot of people that would want to work with him in Houston. You would be hard pressed to find one person that has anything nice to say about him.

I hope they don't bring back KLOL. It was outdated and poorly run. They need to
bring a strong active rock station to Houston. I personally like to listen to bands while
they are new or in their prime, not past it.

Is there a rock KLOL in Houstons future? Well? Could it be coming?

I hate when people ask this question. Number one there will only ever be one Rock KLOL. CC should've had the respect to change the call letters when they switched it to MEGA. Number two, KLOL's playlist was outdated, so if there is a resurrection it won't be in the pre-flip format. Why do you think that the arrow and 103.7 are tanking in the ratings? I certainly hope that active rock is coming to Houston somewhere though. I guess Outlaw Dave is resurfacing somwhere May 3rd. Who knows.

Well, Dave does. Only question really is whether he'll land over at K-Hits with his buddy Paul Christie, or if he'll be reading liner cards with Pam Kelly at the Point. Funny, you mentioned May 3rd as Dave's 3rd coming to the Houston airwaves. Same day as the new book is released. Coincidence, or master plan? You decide.
