* has anyone ever heard the Benny Garrick tapes? If so, the BR549 comment makes sense. Maybe someone will actually post something on here

Yeah, BR-549 originated on Hee Haw. Local (Nashville) legend has it that the band BR-549 was named for the prank tapes that they
had heard...but who knows.

Chris Romer, the incredible talent of WSIX-FM, aka The Big 98 (a CC station, so rob may be running it too) may know the answer to
the BR-549 Band name trivia. Could be totally wrong. Should have been clearer on the previous post.

In those tapes, a co-worker of Benny prank calls Benny to the point of (I think) killing him...the calls start out innocent enough and esculate
into unreal anger and peppered (heavily) with graphic language. One of the times Arnie (the prank caller) has Benny convinced he'll finally
get Arnie's phone number and turn the table on him when he asks Benny if he has a pencil (goes on for a few minutes) Arnie replies "BR549."
Benny's response is, well, priceless....


Geez....are any PCB stations even on anymore. This is as bad as it gets on here.... I agree CCENG DO SOMETHING...anything. The Gin and
tonics can't even liven this bar up!

HIRE ROB....he's the ONLY hope CC has to increase revenues, programming and probably strobey's....I dunno.

I thought CC was selling off it's stations in smaller markets. Why are they keeping PCB?
