Oh my goodness! Talk about a chilly start today, and while its cold up here on the Farm in Sharon. Things are heatin' up in the Valley!!!! ;)My big girlfriend at cc said the word is out! Clear Channel Lebanon has been SOLD to the former Vox Radio Group partners! Here come the predictions from barn this morning!

1.) Will Vox make another BIG MISTAKE and hire Bob Frisch to run the properties!? After all he did an amazing job for them in Concord with Outlaw 102! Not to mention he knew how to sell KIXX!

2.) Will the old Vox crew in West Lebanon scramble to get out of the Nassau Titantic!

3.) Will Heath Cole 'woof-woof' re-surface bringing his entire programming staff back to the dial! Chris Garrett back on WGXL!???? Pauline back on KIXX!??? Dru Johnson back on the radio??? Art Steinberg back as the MOST USED production director in the Upper Valley!????

4.) Will Norma Jean bake some home goodies for her boys!?

5.) Will Vox continue to pay for the Kixx Morning Show?

6.) Will the Buzz end????

7.) Will Jeff be Clear Channel Lebanon's Ship"hero"????

8.) Will Doug Welldone crawl under his desk, wetting himself in fear! wink-wink...

Somehow I doubt Art Steinberg will be lured back at least immediately. He's working for the Nass-ow at WCRB in Boston... probably getting used over there. ::) (Though I hope that's not the case.)

This is classic! Vox sold Nassau their stations for way more than they were worth and they're now buying back into the market to compete against those stations that they sold as mere shells of their former selves. Brilliant!!! The Tuck School of Business @ Dartmouth should use this in their curriculum. Will this be the old Vox fearsome foursome or the dynamic duo?
 
The forerunners to Vox got Corm away from WIZN, very safe bet to say he's quite safe if that scenerio played out.

I hear not all former Vox'ers....just Shapiro buying. My bet he'll bring galluzzo and his cronies back to man the streets. Watch those low rates boys! $5.00 commercials return to the Upper Valley! CC staffers might be stepping from the frying pan into the fire when they see how much the Shapiro gang cares about quality programming. The answer...what is quality programming? We just want to sell!

His MO is to move stations and he did all of that with former Vox. My bet is one or two of the FM frequencies will go. Will he try to do a simulcast with his Concord station on WTSL?

I never thought I would say it but this may not necessarily be better for radio in the Upper Valley.

No Crystal ball here NO DAG, just in the know! Really in the KNOW! ;) I must say that while life up here on the farm in Sharon changes...it stays the same! My big girlfriend at cc and I are really looking forward to a great 2007! Meow! Oh, and good mornin' to Ben and to Ray D. Oh!!!! You boys need to come over soon! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
