Clear Channel launches Spanish radio network

Clear Channel Radio has launched La Preciosa Network, a Spanish-language network with more than one dozen stations.

The program can be heard on KEGL-FM (97.1) in Dallas. It also can be heard on stations in San Francisco-San Jose (Calif.); San Diego; Bakersfield, Calif.; Tulsa, Okla.; Las Vegas; Sioux City, Iowa; Rochester, N.Y. and other cities.

In September 2004 Clear Channel launched its Spanish-language programming and Preciosa is the latest addition. Victor Manuel Lujan, an on-air personality, has joined the network and it will also feature morning show host Alex Lucas' "El Genio Lucas Show."

La Preciosa plays hits from the 70s, 80s and early 90s.

The funny thing is that they started the network over 20 months ago, and never announced it until now.

The first affiliates, in Fresno, Bakersfield, Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, etc., went on the net in summer 2004.
