cc meridian cluster sold??

hot rumor is meridian cluster has been sold.maybe Pierce will buy it back.i hear CC is gonna unload these small markets really fast, and google will bid on the others.people getting fired left and right.boy what a suck ass company.just dreadful...IMHO

I wonder if that Holliday/Scotty Ray & Debbie lawsuit will have any bearing on CC's selling these stations? I wouldn't think CC would have been dragged into that mess, but when it comes to courtroom law, who knows what will happen? Would that affect their sales price or is that such a nickel and dime thing to a megacorporation like CC that it wouldn't matter? I just hope the outcome is positive for as many people who work in these Meridian stations as possible. I'm sure many of these local employees could go to other cities but some of them probably consider this area their home and would prefer to stay. Time will tell.

Who got fired?

Also going around: Procter & Gamble wants to pick up the smaller CC markets when they go on sale; then make major staff cutbacks to increase profits.

You should know radiogall44, shouldnt you? After all, you work for CC.. dontcha?

Radiogal44 works at CC, and if she don't know, that's sad!

True.

Who wants to chip in, I'll buy a North Mississippi CC CLuster with y'all :)

P&G should stick with selling detergent and producing daytime dramas for TV.

What does CC have to do with the lawsuit? How would it have anything to do with the sales price? CC probably doesn't even know about the lawsuit. That is small in their big world.

If in fact someone was fired because of the shakeup, I don't know of anyone being fired. Hey Paul, if you know why don't you tell. You don't do you? Sad! You can't name them because no one was fired.

It's funny ain't it? For years we hear how CC has screwed radio up and ruined it for all of us! (Not me) Now that CC is getting out of the small markets and selling off stations left and right, rather than celebrate, most of you sound sad or worried about it! I thought most of you would rejoice in the swan song! ??? Of course there's going to be some "turn over". That's NEVER been different when a station or stations change ownership!
I don't mean to sound flippant about someone losing their gig! I just thought there'd be more celebration from most of you! As for me, I enjoyed my employment with the company. I got great benefits and pay and the resources to get my job done were great too. I totally benefited from CC sell off! I now make more money with my new company and I got to keep my old gig for the most part. Change ain't always bad! ;)
