***Some clarification is needed.

First, what is CC&R?

Second, how long is this Bill expected to be active?

If I am reading this Bill correctly, it appears as though a private home owners assocation may prohibit outdoor Ham antennas of any sort on private property even if local zoning ordinances permit such antennas.

Is this correct?

Can any other radio antennas be impacted by this Bill?

CC&R = Covenants Conditions & Restrictions. 99% of new housing developements like condo's and even big homes with multiple acres are being denied the use of their ham radio hobby through draconian restrictions. and in some states legislation has mandated that all new developements must have an Association. Some have even gone as far as fining people who use indoor antenna's and or vehicle mounted antenna's. these are the same type of associations like the one in forida who told it's residents that if they take in hurricane katrina victims they face monitary forfeiture. talk to anyone who lives under one of these associations as to how much brass ones some of these associations have. Remember the movie The Colony with John Ritter??? That was not Fiction. imagine that movie minus the in home hidden camera's. and trust me if they could they would use camera's for their enforcement of CC&R's.

William, this is why there are so many books and online articles about "Stealth Amateur Radio" and "invisible" or "hidden in plain sight" ham antennas.

I've never heard of a Part 15 AM station being affected by CC&Rs (thankfully, our small antennas are easy to hide), but it would still be good to have the freedom to put them up in the clear instead of in a hidden, often efficiency-compromised location. -- JasonW
