CC Radio San Antonio ex-employees - W2/1099

Who didn't receive their W-2 or 1099s from CC Radio San Antonio?

I talked with a couple of ex-employees and they said they had to beg them for their w-2s/1099. They were told "we can e-mail it to you". WTF is that all about? Isn't there a law that says they had to mail them out by February 1st this year? I called the IRS and was told they had until February 15th??? Wth kind of crap is that also????

Let me know if you didnt get one or had to call in to them for it.... someone I know is going to write a story about it and is going to the IRS with this crap.

That's rough, sorry to hear that.

When I left Clear Channel I was wondering the same around the beginning of the year. (I'm impatient) But Clear Channel was always really good about W-2's. They even give opportunity to get W-2's digitally.

Mine was mailed to me at the end of Jan.

Good luck getting yours. Tax return time always brings out the impatience in people. Especially when $$$$ is going to wind up in your pocket.

Actually I'm going to owe this year... but the point is they pick and chose who's w2 they want to mail out... i'm at the same address and have received many correspondence from them. Why not my W2? Because they are spiteful people in accounting... just ask Peter Burns.

"DON'T EVER WORK FOR CLEAR CHANNEL!"...they would sacrifice goats in the hallways.

Seriously, WTF, the IRS told you they have until mid Feb. I don't think you are important enough to single out for abuse. I would expect their abuse to be distributed equally to all ex-employees.

I just spoke with someone and they told me ALL w-2's were given out at the end of Jan with the employee paychecks. As for the ex employees, it is supposed to be the same. Mailed on Jan 31st. (Mine was)

Disturbing how yours wasn't.

Any chance it's being withheld outta spite? Did you make someone angry?

That's just it... I wasn't the only ex-employee who didn't receive theirs. I wouldn't post something like this if it was only mine.  But after hearing from several ex-employees who did not receive theirs I decided to post this.

And yes that's what the IRS told me. As far as pissing someone off... I hope that's the case then I can bring charges up on them. And don't think I won't.

Well, this is a matter where you just get the amounts from your previous pay stubs. You may have to add them all up , of course, if CC didn't provide a running total as do many companies. I would also check w/the IRS for the best way to file when your employer is not following the law.

Or...you could just blame it on the post office.

Or...the fact that there are a LOT of ex-CC employees out there.

Have things changed in the last few years? I seem to remember Clear Channel outsourcing its payroll to a third party vendor. Most, if not all, of the big broadcasters were doing that five years ago, and I can't imagine they've increased staff in the HR, accounting and payroll departments since then. Your W-2's would also normally come from that vendor. If that's still the case, you might be able to find some relief that way. The most popular with employers is Automatic Data Processing (ADP). My current employer uses ADP, and, though it shows the company's address on the envelope, the W-2 was clearly prepared by ADP.

It wasn't only former San Antonio employees....I, thankfully, had a great HR head who just emailed mine to me today. I had to go on Clear Channel's website to get mine and when I went to download my W-2's, it was just the forms, no info on them! My guess is that because I was not on the CCR network the info wouldn't come up, but who knows. Regardless, it seems pretty silly that they couldn't just send the damn things like EVERY OTHER company. Perhaps it's another fine cost cutting measure...saving on postage, that is!

If you worked Radio, why don't you just call the local HR person? That's what I did and it got it in a couple of days.
