CC-Raleigh axe is still sharp

Just a update from the HR department at Clear Channel Raleigh. Myron Bethea was fired last Friday as GSM. Looks like Dick Harlow will do most managerial duties. I guess that means he is now regional VP, GM, and GSM.

So anybody starting a pool to pick how long it is until each CC cluster only has one engineer, one AE and one "panic" person? Seems like they won't stop until everything it regionally operated. Visions of the early parts of WarGames comes to mind... taking out the chairs in the silos and putting in one computer relay.

Someone just woke up in San Antonio and decided that one person needed to be canned in Raleigh that day and Myron drew the short straw? Maybe they decided that they don't need his position since everything goes through Mr. Harlow and there is only a hand full of sales people left. That sounds like a cost cutting measure to me. Maybe him and Dick where butting heads. You really don't think Dick Harlow had anything to say in the matter? Corporate decision is a way of moving the blame outside of the building. Denying it was cost cutting means they don't want to scare the hell out the few employees they have left in that building. Sounds like someone has been drinking some of the kool aid at the weekly sales meeting.

and we welcome condo to the board and congratulate him/her on his/her 1st post. getting a lot of those these days from the "cc apologist" crowd...

+1 trojan53....and, exactly, just how many Raleigh CC employees are there? 37?
including sales? security and janitorial, etc. are contracted. do not include non-paid interns.

Yeah - love those first time posters. There's nearly always an agenda they just can't help communicating. ;D
That being said, there have been some really bad people in management positions at CC. Maybe they're finally doing a little housecleaning. After all, they did FINALLY get rid of Morgan Bohannon. It takes CC a little longer to smell the coffee.

Chris St John! U are an excellent talent! Loved working with you, albeit briefly, at WTRG.

re: Myron. I worked with him when he was a first starting at WTRG....not the sharpest.
