CC Sucks

InTim: It's great that you're blogging about the presidential race and you keep up with what's going on outside radio.

That's where a number of very talented Houston radio personalities have gone because they can't make a living in radio anymore since the jobs have dried up and the salaries have decreased.

It's for them that I say it was better in the "old days." I'm still making a living, but I think radio would be better if we could get some of those talents back. That's been my point.

Fred: Radio Ink says 2008 will be the worst year for radio since the dot-com decline of 2001, but revenue is expected to be down only about 3% overall and some smaller markets are doing better than ever.

KTRH just hired Dave Crowder from WBAP Dallas to be a reporter/anchor, I believe, so they're hiring.

KLOL is doing pretty well, I understand, by the way. Clear Channel is doing all it can to keep revenue up. I'm certain Mr. Eduardo can tell us more about KLOL if we cares to.

ok so the next question is! IS KLOL for sale? yes or no and if infact it is why has the station not been sold yet?

If the CCU sale is to go through, the DOJ has mandated CCU specifically divest itself of a number of stations, one of which is KLOL.
