CCM Radio answer to Delilah?

I notice the syndication of KCMS Seattle evening personality Martha Hadley's "Sharing Life Together" program is a major success. Many times while reviewing Christian music station websites I see her show being featured in the evening. I see that several stations have added music hours due to show and stopped at least of some of God infomercial programming. Major CCM radio networks like the His Radio in the southeast (markets like Greenville SC, Asheville Nc, Raliegh, Dothan, Savannah, Augsta GA) and Spirit FM throughout the Virginias carry the program. Even heritage CCM's like WMHK Columbia SC, WJIE Louisville and WCVO Columbus OH air the show. Some other big markets hear the show via WGTS Washington DC, WRCM Charlotte along with WCQR in the tri-cities of TN & VA.

While I would prefer locally produced music programming it is good to see some stations finally adding some music to the evenings on route to some day give music 24/7 treatment.

Problem I have with Martha is SHE's CANNED! not live.. At least on WCVO, I have tuned in and heard different songs playing on the Martha Version on their 95.1 The River, but heard a different song and Martha talk at a different time on 104.9 The River (their other station) so it appears Martha is some form of "voice tracking" at least on CVO's stations in Columbus and Mt Gilliad.

Some of those NIGHT shows ARE voice-tracked or repeated in other time zones out west...
Edited by toddohio on 10/17/05 02:33 PM.

Two things:

1. Where two agree, one is unnecessary. I could be wrong, but I am of the belief that many Christian AC stations are already beating the Delilah stations...why duplicate the programming?

2. Delilah's a Christian who has an excellent platform from which she can direct people toward the things of God and introduce many others to our music. Why, exactly, are we wanting to damage her?

In the big picture, I don't get it.
