CD101 On The Move

I tuned into CD101 @ 102.5 about a month ago and was howling with laughter at how bad that branding sounds. Just call your station CD102 or CD102.5. The old branding HAS to go.

I have noticed that more and more at least in the afternoon they go by "The Alternative Station 102.5FM" no big mention of CD101 but other day parts its all over the place. Strange, Who is the PD now?

I think it varies by the DJ. Leslie James (afternoons) is the only one who consistently uses the phrase "The alternative station, 102-5 FM".

And all references to their website still are to cd101.com even though cd101at1025.com and cd1025.com also redirect to the same site.

Has the PD position ever been filled yet? It might explain a lot - especially if their branding is now that inconsistent.

Wow, shouldn't this PD be selling her station on-air with a consistent station brand? I imagine this is a nightmare for their Sales staff trying to sell spots. Just call it CD102-5. Easy solution. The Alternative Station 102-5 sounds too bland.
Also, in a kind of related story, Atlanta's former 99X, which is on Q100's HD2 channel, also has a 250 watt translator at 97.9 down there and brands itself as "99X @ 97.9". Here we're talking about a station that's actually on where they say they are on their HD-2 carrier. Sheesh, find a station name and stick with it. It's not brain surgery, it's radio(Although for some the comparisons are identical). :)

That should have been done back in July. Again, the people running WWCD are simply clueless and unable to understand the basic concept of marketing.
