Cee Cee, Billy Buck and The Bear

OK. Over the past couple months Billy Buck was just quietly gone from morning drive on 97.9 The Bear. Now the past couple weeks, Cee Cee & Friends is nowhere to be found. What a weird station.

Also, have they moved yet again? The station used to be in downtown New Bern, above the small post office (and in the same building as a religious station and some TV thing). Then they moved out to Pollock Street last summer. Now that building seems to be occupied by something else.

Music's great, though. It and 1070 WNCT are about all I listen to around here. Sometimes 1450 for news... :-\

The Bear has so much potential from a format standpoint..It is good now and could be great..My guess is all the changes are all about$$. That's sad..I don't know what the answer is ...The format needs live jocks but it all boils down to money..Dann Miller is a good guy and a smart fellow...He has keep the Bear going in some pretty rough times.I hope it doesn't go away because it has proven beyond a doubt that Classic Country works in the market and all the listeners aren't 65 plus...I hope it can keep going and regain the momentum it once had. Sometimes its tough to turn listeners into dollars and dollars make the radio world go round.
