Cee-Lo = Sesame Street

Funniest thing I've seen recently...

Disclaimer: Don't ask why I had the Disney Channel on ;)

Anyway (in my now famous Andy Rooney style) I was caught off guard when I saw a parody performed by the Muppets of....(sfx - drumroll )-- Cee-Lo Green's "Forget You" !!

I happen to think it is a great, catchy tune ...both clean & not so clean versions (either way-I'm not proud ;D)

The reason to post is: for a song that has been CENSORED for airplay, it has found it's way to DISNEY as a parody for Muppets to play with!! What are the thoughts out there? Is this right? Not right? ??? I'm just curious for other opinions---there are no right or wrong answers!!!

Seasonal Greetings (hey, I'm PC ;D)

In an age where kids are fascinated with south park, why be worried about seeing Cee lo teach his obviously adult song to muppets?

How long before an outtake featuring the Muppets singing the "original" version of the song surfaces on YouTube or some other site? ;)

This is what the fuss is all about?

Well yes...but I wouldn't call it fuss! If you re-read the original post ..it was to solicit feedback (and something more interesting than beating the PBS threads to death already)

I can only think that you were providing the video/audio to which it referred to, and thank you for that ;D

Next thing you know, it'll be the Muppets singing "C'mon Baby Light My Fire", complete with the "higher" lyrics.

Well a year or so ago they did Bohemian Rhapsody (Which was hilarious). I have two thoughts, one, most kids know the radio version of the song, so who cares. But on the other hand, the original version is quite vulgar and hopefully they dont hear that version. All In All, no biggie...

After all, compared to most newer artists, Cee Lo isn't all that bad.

Rumor has it that Cee Lo is doing a remake of Nilsson's classic "You're Breaking My Heart".

Im not CERTAIN:
but I am "pretty sure" the Muppets
and Bohem_rhapsody was not an OFFICIAL release,
I eeeasily could be wrong , but thats what I heard -

It was official. Queen Productions licensed the original backing track and Brian May even spoke about how much he loved it and was glad they allowed it to happen.

Re: Cee-Lo = Muppets

The new Muppet movie was really good. The first 5 minutes or so felt a little too much like sesame street but the rest of the movie got to be a lot better!
