It just happened again.
Tom Bauerle had a really strong monologue interrupted by a personal call on his cell phone.
It happens to Kathy Weppner all the time during her Saturday afternoon show on WBEN.
Frankly, I'm stunned that Wenger and Reid don't DEMAND that all cell phones either be on vibrate mode or completely turned off.
Or how about NO PHONES IN THE STUDIO !!!
Does this happen on other local stations? I'm talking any on-air talent for AM or FM.
It's frustrating to hear as a listener. Today's incident totally threw Tom off and you could basically hear him asking himself "who was this that called me?" He actually said on the air that during the next commercial break he was going to call the number back and blast whoever it was that called him.
Entercom Buffalo needs to get it together and makes sure simple miscues like that don't happen ever again. It's common sense... and common courtesy to have the phone off or on vibrate.
