Centennial Winchester-Fredericksburg

So, did Centennial ever close on the deal to buy WINC/WBQB et cetera from the Lewises. I'd heard it got held up over a drop in billing or that non-compete thing with Three Sisters down in R-L.

Heard they got a new GM for Winchester, too, replacing the woman who had replaced Chris Lewis.

What's the scoop?

Interesting !! I thought Centennial outright owns WINC in Winchester but I just checked the website for WINC's sister WWRT/WWRE, it says "operated" by Centennial. Hmmmmmm

Between the change of staff, Centennial has made a mark in Winchester. WINC-FM I believe is no longer 24/7 LIVE and they do have some new staff at WWRT/WWRE.

Plus about a year or so ago all of the Winchester-Front Royal-Martinsburg radio stations ( Centennial, Clear Channel, Prettyman, Timber Ridge, and WZRV/WFTR ) made this "gentlemens agreement" about You Tube. Any video of their stations that appears on You Tube, all of them have the right to get You Tube to remove the video. Example..Martinsburg's WLTF ( Prettyman ) has the right to get an old TV commercial for 92.5 WINC-FM ( Centennial ) taken off of You Tube.

All of this sounds strange to me but I did hear that it was a "Centennial" idea.
