as far as 'talking points being distributed' how about this report? Did Ed Schultz have on someone who disagreed with the report on his own show? Did he take any callers that disagreed with the report on his show? How about every affiliate he's on: do you think they followed it up with a program showcasing 'the other side'? I think not. Perhaps I;m wrong, but I'll bet that didn't happen.

Actually he did. Listen to the second file I linked. It was a talking points-reading woman who read right from the playbook, and Schultz argued with her for two segments, so the opposing view certainly did get through.

Props to Ed Schultz! That's one of the reasons libtalk fails~ most in the host spectrum dont engage in debate, it's all 'yep yep yep' on the left , and 'ditto ditto ditto on Rush. I remember when Rush used to haver callers that disagreed, and he didnt scream 'seminar caller!'. But those were the good ol daze......

I believe your wrong about Boortz~ he has consitently railed against certain conservative mindsets, is a vehement opponent of the 'crazy Christian' sects here in Gerogia that want to put 'evolution stickers' in science books, went against Bush and co on Terry Schiavo, and is pretty pro choice and pro drug legalization( although he would say 'decriminalization ). He jumped ship during the last presidential election, but his track record for 20 years has been more libertarian then 'conservative', even though most Georgian Libertarians ( all 7 of us ) still resent his abdication.

Oh, and he said he would retire when/if Hillary is sworn in...I would wager he wont keep his word.
