Central Alabama shake up

So according to inside sources, Cumulus Montgomery has lost the rights to carry Alabama sports on their stations...will this mean a big win for the new station that Doug Amos and Josh Moon left for?

Since Cumulus lost the rights, it looks like a big win for the new WDXX, once they move to the lush green cow pastures of northern Lowndes County.

As of this post, both Bama and Auburn football have a home on WDXX.

Once WDXX moves, their rights to do Auburn Football will have to cease.

I wonder if WHBB will continue to air Auburn football, once WDXX officially moves or will Mr. Hank Sanders end up buying this station and turn it into an outlet for Jazz, Old School R&B, Gospel and Talk and change the calls to WBFZ Z 1490 AM?

If my prediction on WHBB is right, then Auburn football won't have a home in the Selma area, for the time being.

P.S. Speaking of WDXX, when will they officially move into their new location?

Auburn and Bama football will always have a home on your radio dial as long as you don't travel too far outside of Alabama.
If Cumulus lost Bama football, someone else has already picked it up and is very happy about it.
No doubt you'll have 2 or 3 stations to choose from on Game Day this fall.

So, let's speculate where Eli and Bama ends up. Bluewater: 98.9's big signal or give the new 93.1 a listener boost. The Ticket? As long as it's not a night game. The new 107.9 now seems very unlikely. Clear channel? Maybe. 100.1? It will still be a "Selma-and-barely-a-Montgomery" station. Fire away and Roll Tide!
