CGSmooth (new version) for Omnia.one

Hello, gang!

I have finally come up with a CGSmooth preset for the Omnia.one that I like.

(Noticed how there wasn't a plain 'ol "CGSsooth" for the Omnia. One before?)

Anyway, here's the description from my website:
*************************************************
Finally!

if you are a fan of the CGSmooth preset for the Omnia6Ex processor, here's one for the Omnia. One!

All the characteristics of the version for Omnia.one's big brother (transparent highs, etc.) but now for the little guy.

This preset sounds NOTHING like the other presets for the One (mine, or the ones supplied with the One), and will become the basis for new replacement versions for all Omnia. One presets posted on my site!

Think of this preset (when used as-is) as a nice preset for AC, Lite Rock, Smooth Jazz, Triple-A, and other "laid back" type formats.

Makes a great starting point for customizing to other formats!

********************************

Just for fun, I went further, and introduced the first format-specific preset using this new enhanced preset called "CGMighty80s".

Description:
*************************************
After creating the new CGSmooth preset, I decided to go for a retro 80's top 40 "big" compression sound that those of us as pre-teen & teens grew up hearing on the dial.

This preset is a tribute to that "big" sound. :)

************************************

Link to the new presets here:

Wait, there's more!

Wes Keene sent some new Alt. Rock presets for the Omnia. One to me as well, and I will be posting them to my site later today or tomorrow after I get some sleep! :)

That is all for now!

Enjoy, and rock on!

Hi Cornelius,

We have been running your CGBigAC preset (with slight modifications in the mixer stage) on a medium market radio station in NorthEastern France since sunday and it sounds really great ! No doubt any more about the efficiency of this "little" Omnia.one (even if I have to admit that I generally prefer the Orban sound, but that's a very personal point of view).

Thank you for the very good job.

I'm glad it's working out well for you! I've been very happy with this new series of presets, and I enjoy hearing the feedback from folks giving them a spin!

Thanks for the info / complements!

I don't have an OmniaOne, but I do like the CGSmooth preset you did for Breakaway Broadcast! Your stuff sounds good for the Omnia6, that much I know. I really like yours and Mark Manolio's ears...a lot!

Thanks!

I've been really excited to bring the characterisic sound of my presets to the Omnia. One, and it's been a hoot to hear that box in an entirely different light :-D. Stay tuned...those presets are not the only things you'll be hearing from me over here at Omnia Audio!

:) :) :) :)

I can't say enough about the CG presets and the way this little processor sounds. The highs are crystal clear and overall texture of the sound is truley amazing. I updated our box to the latest firmware which includes a few new presets (Modern Rock, Tripple A, & HotAC). Cornelius, are the new presets in this update yours?

Keep up the great work!

The factory presets that came with the upgrade are not my work. I think Mark Manolio created those himself (he has great ears too!). Mark and I have similar processing philosophies, though we tend to have different tastes in audio texture, and there is nothing wrong with that! The more choices, the merrier, I say :)

Based on the reactions so far, I have a feeling you may see mine crop up in the menu tree in a future Omnia software release....
