Try Channel 41 WOCH-CA

If you look to the right you will find links to the channel change news etc.<P

From the website

"Due to current FCC rules and regulations WOCH-LP, Channel 28, Chicago, Illinois, has been displaced by a digital television station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that is on the same channel. We have taken steps over the last several years to prevent this occurrence with no success. As a result, we are forced to change and have selected a new channel, Channel 41. We will begin installation of the equipment to facilitate this change starting December 19, 2005 and expect to be off the air through December 29, 2005. "

Well that stinks. I used to be able to grab in WOCH on 28 up here in Kenosha but now that its on 41 I probably won't be able to get it since WMLW-LP (41) Milwaukee is a decent signaled local for me.
______________

I bet the 41s will start dueling it out over there.

I noticed on the website it states that with the move WOCH-LP becomes WOCH-CA. And the website says "This affords us with most of the protections of a full power TV station."

Since WMLW is a LP I wonder if that is gonna push that station in another direction?

To correct my above post: WMLW is now a CA. Forgot when they changed. They signed on 41 in 2000-2001 with translator style status but upgraded about a year or 2 after. It was originally on a different channel number. Think it was 46 or 43. Not too sure.
______________

Late 2003 or early 2004. When they got added to TW cable and commissioned the Pat McCurdy song.

Ok so what's gonna happen with the two Channel 41s? Hmmm?

What's the closest full power analog 41? In like Battle Creek?

I wonder what other, if any, channels WOCH-CA could've went to?
______________

WOCH on 28 was short-spaced with WSJV in South Bend. They were eventually going to have to leave 28 because WSJV must return to their analog channel at the end of the transition, and they'll go non-directional once they switch their digital to 28.

Well for a quick look from the FCC here are the coverage maps for

WOCH-CA Channel 41 Chicago

and

I get WOTV Battle Creek on 41 quite often... That's a flamethrower. I wonder if WOTV is retaining 41 for their DTV signal in 2009?

At last check, they were keeping channel 20. WOTV would have spacing issues with a station in Detroit, possibly WXYZ-DT, though I can't remember for sure.
