ch 50 Hartford off the air last night?

Not that I missed the programming with ch 48 being exactly the same programming, but last night after 9 pm, I was doing a scan of the normal broadcast band and 50 was missing. Anyone know if they are up to something or was this weather related, ect.?

It's possible. Sunday night COX Cable was having problems picking up WXCT/59, WUVN/18, and WGBY/57. (Channels 9, 18, and 17 on cable). All 3 had horrible reception on cable. They all looked like well how you'd watch these stations with a pair of rabbit ears.
Funny how the cable companies like to criticize the satellite providers for having bad reception during storms....

That isn't the cable co's fault tho....if the incoming signal is bad, its going to be rebroadcast that way on cable. With satelliete, the picture is either very pixalated, or gone completely during bad storms. Cable usually stays on with only a few hiccups.

Actually, the station is still off the air, it's fine on the local comcast cable, and last night when I checked, ch 48 is black except for the station logo which is now in the upper left corner.

I've got my equipment set up so I can switch between the cable, HDTV set-top box, and direct local OTA signal from the roof antenna that I have strapped to the inside of the roof (landlord won't allow one outside after an accient with the first one).

Also, does anyone have a projected date for WEDH-DT?

Still the same signal with Comcast on cable channel 13 in New Britain. By the way, why did WRDM-LP move from channel 13 to 50 to begin with? I can't get the channel 50 signal here in New Britain's south end (and low-power channel 38 is virtually non-existant). There's already channel 50 broadcasters in Derry, NH and Montclair, NJ, plus another low-powered channel 50 Telemundo station in the Providence, RI area. ???

Channel 13 was a meager 88 Watts from their Maple Street Studios

Channel 50 is supposed to be 50 KW from the WCCC/WTMI Towers
