So some developments in the Elmira market as two new stations appeared last week. Equinox Broadcasting launched two new stations. 93.1 The Drive and Hot 102.9. Both clones of the stations owned in Binghamton. The Drive being an alternative station and Hot being a Rhythmic CHR station.

Along with Sports Rights, the dumpster fire of Tower Broadcasting has lost the rights for Yankees broadcasts and Buffalo Bills broadcasting for WELM 1410. The only rights they have as to knowledge is Westwood One for NFL. Word is Community Broadcasting jumped in and picked up the Bills rights and will air them on WNGZ 104.9 for the upcoming season.
