I think the idea is actually loving what you do, not sounding like it.

I've been there. Very hard to do the acting bit.

Hey maybe Jay Baker could do it! No? OK, how about Adam Ritz? Oh, ok, well how about Danno? Oh, he's gone too? Wow, sounds like three good personalities that would have been great in a morning show like that. I guess when the owner hotlines you after every break to critique your performance, maybe you start re-thinking your career choice in moving there. Sounds like one of those places where your first day on the air is your first step out the door.

Gee, sounds like the job of a lifetime - where do i apply?

That's WKLU-Brownsburg.

A non-corporate station where we only stop the music once an hour, but NOT the hotline!

Are you a morning person? Looking to get out of your tedious job in social work? If you answered yes to either one or both of these questions, you should seriously consider joining the WKLU team! You already know what it's like to be a dime-a-dozen...to make less money than your friends who do a lot LESS work -- this will be one of the easiest career transitions there is! You may be asking yourself about now: what's the upside? Instead of dealing with dozens of crazy people every day, you'll only have to deal with two: your boss (a co-dependent, insecure, bipolar [and unmedicated] guy with mommy issues and a strange fascination with poo) and HIS boss, the owner (an arrogant, stubborn, litigious, eccentric, somewhat angry multi-millionaire) who -- despite having been in your shoes -- will constantly remind you of his benevolence in having hired you and your worthlessness in life as a whole were it not for your prestigious new gig.

Please submit your materials ASAP for immediate consideration. Successful candidates will review the Howard Stern biopic "Private Parts", paying close attention to the sections that deal with the proper pronunciation of call letters...and contemplating the steps Mr. Stern could have taken to forge a more successful working relationship with Paul Giamatti's character, Kenny 'Pig Vomit' Rushton.

How 'bout all three?

Who hasn't worked for somebody like that? This is radio.

I noticed Crystal is off the web site but Libby Farr is still on. So does that mean that the new morning person will be teaming with Libby? Or is she leaving as well? Seems like they are changing people left and right. I really liked listening to Crystal. Hope she gets another job.

I worked with Crystal when she did middays at ZPL, and even if she has to move to another city, she will land on her feet. I had an XM radio as a beta tester and then there she was on day one, one of the first two voices to beam on Satellite Radio. Bruce Kelly was the other one. They were the morning show on the 80's channel which was the first one to go live. Really cool. Haven't talked to her in 10 years, so if you are on here C, come up to FW and visit soon!

John Dotas, owner of Boone County broadcasting dba WBCI 100.9fm Lebanon in the 80s and 90s. Some good stories there. Wonder what happened to PD/son Paul Dotas?

Is former WHHH morning personality Cindy Wine still in radio?

Oh my gosh, horrible memories dude. I was there when he took over, then brought in the broom and sweeped nearly everyone out. I think only one person remained after the house cleaning. Jeff Yates and I were shown the door. It took me 7 years to get back into radio after that. He kept giving me a bad reference everywhere I applied.

I don't really know or care what happened to Paul (Raymond) Dotas. I hope he got better over the years, because in 1985-6, he stunk.

What happened to the guys that owned 'NON before Dotas? Nice guy that ran it the brief time I was there. Never quite understood the automated "casal country" format but was such a nice change from working for Vern.

I'm guessing that one person is Scott Carney, who I believe is still on the air at Bill Shirk's Boone County station.

No, that was the pre-Carney days. I think the guy's last name was Lawson or Larson, something like that. That would have been January 1986. (I remember well, because it was the day after the space shuttle explosion)

Last time I ran into Cindy Wine she had landed in the Real Estate business; an agent somewhere on the NorthEast side of Indy. I am sure that cannot be going well in today's housing market.
